Eatontown, NJ (March 20, 2012) - Big Brothers Big Sisters of Monmouth & Middlesex Counties (BBBSMMC) announced today that the agency is relocating its main office as of May 1 to a newly leased facility at 305 Bond Street in Asbury Park. “We commend BBBS for being responsive to the needs of the community by relocating its offices to Asbury Park,” said Timothy C. Hearne Jr., President & CEO of United Way of Monmouth County.
The move is part of a strategic plan to better serve the youth in Monmouth and Middlesex Counties. “The move to Asbury Park will not diminish our services in other areas of Monmouth County, but rather make our office more accessible via mass transit and will provide room for future growth,” said William Salcedo, Executive Director. The agency is also working to secure a satellite office in Northern Middlesex County.
BBBSMMC currently operates out of a facility in Eatontown and has outgrown the space due to the increased number of children they have served over the years. The new offices will allow for space to train volunteers, conduct workshops for kids and families in the program as well as to hold in-take interviews and support the Big-Little matches.
“I am very pleased to welcome Big Brothers Big Sisters to Asbury Park. Their continued work within our community and schools has been an important part of our overall efforts to provide positive and uplifting experiences for both children and adults within our community,” said Mayor Ed Johnson.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Monmouth & Middlesex Counties is a donor and volunteer supported non-profit organization that has been matching children facing adversity with volunteer positive role models for one-to-one mentoring since 1976
